Once again, Oslo Wu-Tan is proud to announce that Master Kurt Wong will be visiting Oslo Norway again.  This years topics are as followed:


San Cai Jian (Three Power Sword)


San Cai Jian is afamous sword form that was developed at the Nanjing Central Martial Arts Institute in the early 1900s. The meaning of san cai refers to the three levels or gates of the body: Heaven (Head), Man (Body), Earth (Legs). This sword form is practiced as a dueling set that emphasizes evasive maneuvers and attacking vulnerable areas of the body. Master Wong will be teaching jian basics, usages, and the san cai jian dueling form.


Days: May 29-30
Time: 10:00-13:00
Location: Sogn Videregåendeskole gymsal
Fee: kr 600 for seminar + kr 300 for wooden jian

Taiji Tuishou Pushing Hands is an important aspects of Taiji training and helps to improve the feeling and understanding of forces, intentions, and Qi involved in the practice with a partner. Through the study of Pushing Hands the student will learn to make regular Taijiquan practice much more alive and effective. This year Master Wong will cover the practice of taiji sanshou and pushing hand drills.

Days: May 28-29

Time: 15:00-18:00
Location: Sogn Videregåendeskole gymsal
Fee: kr 600

8-Step Style Praying Mantis Babu Zhaiyao Erlu

8 Step praying mantis is a style that synthesizes elements of xingyiquan, baguazhang, and tongbei into praying mantis boxing. Master Wong will be teaching the second form from the 8 step essential form series (babu zhaiyao er lu). Strong emphasis will be on basics, form training, and usages.


Days: June 5-6

Time: 14:00-17:00

Location: Sogn Videregåendeskole gymsal

Fee: kr 600

A correction, the dates of the taiji push hands will be from 29-30.  We still have several open slots for all the seminars. 

Again, this is an invite to anybody who is curious about Northern Chinese martial arts.

Jeg vil muligens få mulighet til å dra inn en dag, iallefall. Kanskje to hvis jeg finner mulighet til å overnatte. Er det noen av dagene dere vil anbefale? Lurte kanskje på om San Cai Jian (Three Power Sword) var noe for meg. Men mister jeg for mye, om jeg bare deltar på en dag?

Depends on ur interest. Jian is similar to western fencing. If u can only attend one day i suggest tui shou. If it is jian, u will miss half of the material.

Da tror jeg kanskje jeg burde ha mer grunntrening med JingLi (Øystein). Slik at jeg har litt grunnkunnskaper først.

Fantastic seminars with Wong Shifu.  I believe everybody left the seminars satisfied by the material and knowledge.  We are now looking forward to Babu tanglang this weekend.  For those who are interested, it is not too late to register.
